Angela Harrer is an eight-time Emmy® award-winning television writer/director from Virginia, who spent the past decade working in the Northeast on television, film and theater productions.

After receiving her B.F.A. in Film & TV from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, Angela worked on shows on Comedy Central and PBS and Off Broadway theatre productions before relocating to Boston, where she became a nightly news promo writer/producer. After five years working in news, Angela became the Director of Original Programming/Head of Development at NewTV, where she wrote, produced and directed the nationally distributed, and 13-time Emmy® award-winning series, The Folklorist.

In 2018, Angela was named a Big Vision // Empty Wallet Development Fellow, an ATX TV Festival Pitch Competition finalist, a Sundance Episodic Lab semifinalist, as well as a Sundance Youtube/New Voices lab semifinalist. She recently relocated to Los Angeles to continue pursuing her passion for television writing and development.
